Community Guidelines
Little Lift community conversations exist so people can exchange useful local knowledge without giving up their privacy or dignity. Posts and replies are reviewed before appearing.
Share information that helps
- Resource names, official phone numbers, public addresses, hours, and service changes
- Respectful questions, practical tips, local events, and firsthand experiences
- Clear details about the city, county, or area a resource serves
- Corrections when information has changed, with an official source when possible
Keep private information private
Never post Social Security numbers, benefits case numbers, medical records, passwords, bank or payment information, personal phone numbers, private home addresses, immigration document numbers, or another person's private details. Public names may be a first name, initials, or a nickname. Email addresses are collected privately for moderation and are not shown with posts.
What is not allowed
- Threats, harassment, hate speech, stalking, or attempts to identify another person
- Scams, deceptive fundraising, spam, repeated promotion, or hidden referral links
- Medical, legal, tax, or financial claims presented as guaranteed professional advice
- Requests to buy, sell, or exchange controlled items or illegal services
- Graphic content, sexual content, or content that exploits a child or vulnerable person
- Political attacks that do not provide useful local resource information
Review and removal
Little Lift may approve, edit for privacy, decline, or remove posts to protect participants and keep the conversation useful. Approval does not mean Little Lift endorses or guarantees a resource. Important information should always be confirmed with the official organization.
Emergencies
These boards are not monitored continuously and cannot provide emergency response. Contact local emergency services when someone is in immediate danger. In the United States or Canada, call or text 988 for crisis support. For other locations, use the main resource guide to find an appropriate official starting point.
